Identity package for Brighton, MA dentist Maria Vasilakis DMD

Tuesday, June 21st, 2011

Dr. Maria Vasilakis, a dentist based in Brighton, MA, asked 67a2 to develop a complete identity package, including logo, business cards, stationary, signage, and a website for her newly formed practice.

Taking inspiration from the repetition of form in her initials (MV) and a set of perfectly aligned teeth, 67a2 designed an abstract logo of simple repetitive shapes to create an ultra minimal and modern graphic that ultimately speaks ‘dentist’ without being overtly literal in form. Since her practice specializes in ‘sedation’ dentistry, we seeked a calm and soothing color palate that still maintained the youthful energy of a young, new practice. The selected typeface (Neutraface), tempers the youthful minimalism of the logo with a classic look and feel, evoking professionalism and her family lineage as a 3rd generation dentist.

ActonScript3 – Scripted Random Pattern

Wednesday, May 25th, 2011

Inspired by the cover art for Africa Hitech‘s awesome new release, I decided to play around and script a similar random pattern in AS3. Using a triangle and an array of colors, I created the below. The pattern is different each time it loads up. Scroll to the bottom of the post,  select your options, and generate your own! * Flash required
